Health Careers Futures (HCF) staff has experience in workforce development and project management in the healthcare sector. Staff members coordinate strategy, fundraising, research, and projects management of the organization.
Nancy Drazner Zionts, Director of HCF, advocates for, plans and directs the execution of workforce projects, programs and research. Nancy is actively involved in health- and education-related community and charity work on local, regional and national levels. She has held diverse positions in the areas of fundraising, programming and leadership development. Nancy holds a BS in Chemistry and an MBA.
Diasmer Bloe directs HCF research, program, and outreach activities and serves as an HCF liaison to intermediaries in partner educational and workforce development organizations. Diasmer holds a MS in Public Policy and Management and a BA in Applied Mathematics.
Linda Horwitz manages the JHF Patient Safety Fellowship, JHF Salk Fellowship, and also state and federally funded training projects. Linda holds an MA and a BA in Communication Studies including interpersonal and organization communication.
Holly O'Donnell directs planning, outreach and programming for the Center for Career Learning. Holly has worked for the federal government and led a large school-based youth development program. She is involved in political and community-based organizations in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC. Holly has a BA in Religious Studies.
Maureen Saxon-Gioia, RN is a workforce training specialist with HCF's incumbent worker training initiatives and contributes to Pharmacy Agents for Change Fellowship (PRHI) and the Nurse Work Readiness Project. She is a member of AWHONN and participated in the Research Council, the Medical Emergency Team Committee, and the Magnet Steering Committee at Allegheny General Hospital, where she serves as a Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit. Maureen holds a BS in nursing is a graduate of the Nurse Navigator Fellowship.
Jan Setzenfand, RN is HCF's lead trainer of frontline healthcare workers. Jan holds a BS in nursing, is a certified diabetes instructor, and has experience in both acute care and family practice nursing and leadership.
Simon Tripp directs health careers planning & research activities for the Center for Career Learning. Simon experience in economic and workforce research includes heading a research, planning and strategy corporation and working as a principal consultant in economic development. He holds a BA in Geography and an MA in Geography and Regional Economics.
Pamela Vingle is a workforce training specialist with HCF's incumbent worker training initiatives and works on various Foundation efforts related to successful aging. Pam holds a BS in Social Work and has served as director of volunteers and facilitated the statewide AIDS Prevention Planning Coalition through the University of Pittsburgh and developed and managed regional programs for Elderhostel Pittsburgh.
Jewish Healthcare Foundation Leon Netzer Fellow Elizabeth Steiner assists the coordination of the JHF Fellowship programs and the implementation of the Center for Career Learning. Elizabeth holds a MS in Public Policy and Management and a BA in Psychology.
Jewish Healthcare Foundation Liaison Fran Sheedy Bost, M.Ed. is an on-site coach and teacher in the Perfecting Patient CareSM System with Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative as well as the leads for curriculum and training for HCF workforce initiatives. She holds a MS in Education and had served as the Director of Quality Improvement for Allegheny Health Choices, Inc. (AHCI), and the Vice President of Operations at Heritage Valley Health System.
